5 Tourists Explore Hawaiian Shipwreck

Honolulu, HI – Our incredible group of divers make way from the Kewalo basin boat harbor in search of exploration on the Sea Tiger shipwreck.

Exploration on Honolulu’s Sea Tiger Shipwreck is simply the best dive in Hawaii! Our group was briefed and equipment checked to ensure a safe yet fun scuba diving adventure. After mooring up to the shipwreck our team plunged into the beautiful Hawaiian waters. For safety as well as ease we descend down the line 100′ underwater. Upon reaching the deck of the Sea Tiger the divers were amazed by the vast assortment of sealife greeting us. Its an incredible feeling being on a shipwreck 100′ below the surface. From the stern of the wreck we begin our exploration of this 190′ vessel. Midway on the starboard side we spot four large Hawaiian white tip reef sharks. Each shark measured somewhere around the 5′-6′ range and appeared to be content on the sandy bottom. Further heading toward to bow of the shipwreck we encounter huge schools of  blue line snapper fish. They swim about back and forth in a brilliant display.

Entering into the wheelhouse we continue the exploration of Hawaiian shipwreck Sea Tiger. Most of the surface areas are now encrusted with barnacles and corals providing shelter for a multitude of crabs and shrimp.  Old wires hang from the ceiling and railing are all about gone as we descend even farther towards the engine room. Seeing the huge diesel engine with exposed rocker arms is incredible. Passing a small twin bunk room, shower area and head before entering the main cabin area. Again wires hanging and walls covered thick with barnacles this area is kinda eerie.  With our time limit and air supply running low we head back to the accent line.
